The Sweetest farm in Norfolk

Branding G&A Farms G&A Farms are a Norfolk based Dairy Farm that have diversified their traditional business model by beginning to produce their own honey from their swarm of 1,000 honey bees. They care about the well-being of bee’s, and aim to be a natural and ethical company that not only gives back to the preservation of native bee’s in the UK they also gives back to their community by providing locally foraged produce. They take pride in their efforts to support the environment and the local economy while producing high-quality products. Branding Services The brief for this project was to give the existing business a high quality look that would reflect its direction moving forward. Graham and Nicola’s goal was to stand up against their competition by offering a luxury and organic product—and they wanted their logo and colour pallets to do the same. After several rounds of revisions, they decided to keep their logo text-based and abandoned the idea of including bespoke artwork within it. They also opted for a more minimalist look, using only one colour to represent their brand. This allowed the audience to focus on the quality of their products rather than decorative elements in the design.  The outcome of this project is a cozy and elegant combination of traditional text with luxury elements. I created a circular typography icon to be used as the secondary logo, knowing that they wanted to use a circle shape for the top of their honey pots. This branding is designed to give the business a modern, natural feel that resonates with its audience. When choosing a colour palette I made sure to keep in mind that a lot of their packaging would hold elements of brown. Overall the project was a success, and I am happy to say that the client loved it.   View our other website Projects Get a quote Branding Services

Escape to the country

Branding Inglewood Escape Inglewood escapes is a tranquil retreat in the heart of the Cumbrian village, of Wetheral. Situated right beside the Eden River the camping pods are the perfect stay for anyone looking to escape in the countryside. Relax in the hot tub overlooking the ancient forest or take advantage of the many paths along the riverside. The Duddy family set up the business in early 2022 and since have had great success with guests! The family have been working hard to make Inglewood a welcoming and inviting place for anyone who visits. With so many activities and places to explore you are sure to have a wonderful time at Inglewood Escapes! Branding Services The visual brief of the project was to create a brand that reflected the farm’s beauty, we looked at the natural landscape around them, the rolling hills, and the winding river. We also took inspiration from the namesake of the business… Inglewood and the large oak tree stand at its centre. The Duddy’s also specifically mentioned that they wanted to make a feature of the camping pods within the logo to instantly identify the service of the business. The outcome after a few rounds of revisions is a beautifully balanced farm logo that highlights the nature you experience at Inglewood Escapes. Within the original artwork you can identify, the oak tree, a camping pod, and a cow, with the line underneath subtly, hinting at the river that runs alongside the pods. The traditional text style grounds the artwork to create a friendly yet professional look. We made sure that the logo can be displayed in many ways, creating 2 secondary logos with a colour palette that reflects the nature that surrounds them. Lakes and Fell’s

Branding Lakes & Fells Candle Co. Lakes and Fells Candle Company is a candle company based in the Lake District. Sophie the founder of Lakes and Fells set up after finding a love for fragrances and candle making during the Covid-19 pandemic. The candles are all homemade and handcrafted by Sophie herself which adds an extra charm to the gorgeous scents. Since setting up in 2021 they have grown hugely and now stock in local shops and cafés. Branding Services The visual brief for the branding was to create a soft and subtle brand that was friendly and inviting. As all of the scents were inspired by the nature that surrounds Sophie’s home in Caldbeck we used a natural colour palette which would look great on Sophie’s packaging. For the logo design, we explored different elements of the company’s names knowing that we wanted to have fells within the logo – I got started creating options with original artwork of fells. After a few revisions, Sophie fell in love with this logo and we created a brand surrounding that! The outcome is a wholesome brand that is soft and modern. An all-encompassing brand experience that embraces Sophie’s vision and propels her business to new horizons. We used a mixture of square fonts to compliment the bold line drawing of the mountain. The Logo works in lots of different ways and translates beautifully on Sophie’s packaging and candles. The branding tells Sophie’s story and allows her to develop the business further if she chooses to. To Find Lakes & Fells Candle Co. Cakes By Alison

Branding Alison Fawkes Cake Design Alison Fawkes is a Cumbrian based cake designer specialising in luxury wedding and events cakes. Located in rural Cumbria Alison is perfectly situated with popular wedding venues in the Lake District and surrounding areas. She has an undeniable skill for baking and design and is very passionate about creating stunning wedding cakes that are works of art in their own right. They don’t just look gorgeous either… her tried and tested flavour combinations have the most irresistible taste! Branding Services The visual brief of this project was to update her look and create a brand that reflected not only how far she had come as a cake designer but also the future of her business. She had outgrown her old logo and knew it was time for a change. Initially, Alison brought in an inspiration board featuring floral and pink elements that she thought would be perfect for her new logo. After a few rounds of revisions, we were coming up short: none of the designs quite captured the feeling she wanted, and she couldn’t see her dream logo in any of them. In this case, I knew it was time for a change of pace. I cautiously threw what I thought Alison wanted out of the window and presented her with what I thought she needed! I started by thinking about what makes Alison unique. She loves and is known for, using a classy and elegant style to create her cakes. Therefore, I decided to take that idea and make it literal by incorporating elegant text alongside a very traditional text for the logo design. The previous revisions were floral and colourful so for contrast I presented Alison with what I like to call a wild card design that was simple, elegant and a neutral colour palette. Instantly Alison knew this was the right design for her, we tweaked the layout slightly but apart from that, we had nailed it! The outcome was a timeless and luxurious design that can stay with Alison as she grows her business!
